I spend my time getting to know the people who build B2B software companies, and figure out ways to help them grow and become market leaders.

Prior to joining Ascent in 2016, I worked at OpenView Venture Partners and ClearSky Power & Technology Fund, both B2B technology investors with a focus on helping companies post-investment. I have worked with companies such as Logikcull (legal tech), Lesson.ly (HR and sales), Swiftstack (infrastructure), Resilient Systems (acquired by IBM), and Cylance (cybersecurity).

BBA in finance and accounting from The College of William and Mary, and minor in Art and Art History. When not spending time at the art studio, I focused my efforts on leading Net Impact, a non-profit organization focused on sustainable business practices and corporate social responsibility.

I enjoy spending time with my rescue pup Hunter, traveling, and staying active. I am a docent at the Museum of Fine Arts and on the board of the New England Venture Network (NEVN), a professional networking group of Boston investors. In the Boston winter, you can find me hibernating or escaping South. In the summer, I enjoy playing tennis outdoors, running along the Charles river, and trying out new restaurants.

Ascent is singularly focused on B2B IT, which means we have developed the expertise, network, and capabilities to invest in and grow the best early stage companies in our sector.

Talent Acquisition Tech: It’s About Automation, Not AI. Yet.

At HR Tech 2018 “Artificial Intelligence” was the phrase of the week, slapped onto as many tag lines as possible.  But after demo-ing many technologies at the Expo, I’m not convinced we’re there yet.  HR tech tends to lag most other industries, and according to research by Future Workplace only 6% of TA leaders are […]
