Introducing the B2B IT Forum

Introducing the B2B IT Forum

As a VC firm focused on technology, it’s no accident we’re located in the heart of Boston. It’s a town full of smart people, energy, and ideas. That’s evident at any local meet-up we’ve attended, from WebInno to the Boston Innovation Challenge, to other entrepreneurial events in the city. But what we’ve found to be missing is an event that focuses exclusively on a technology area with current spending levels trending toward $3 trillion per year: Enterprise IT.

To fill this unmet need, we are hosting a new series of meet-ups we call the B2B IT Forum, with the inaugural event taking place on June 26th. Our aim is to shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs and new companies in the Enterprise IT space. This will be not only a chance for you to learn about promising startups focused on rapidly emerging enterprise technologies, but also to hear from leaders of established, larger companies.

Each B2B IT Forum will focus on a core enterprise IT topic: security, social media, mobility, big data, etc. Our June 26th event will examine cloud security, and we’ll have several startups present to our expert panel of judges, including John Stafford, Raytheon’s Director of Information Assurance, and Ann Halford, Staples’s VP of Information Technology. Startups will include CloudLock, Copiun, and Content Raven.

If you can join us for this inaugural event on June 26th at 6 p.m. at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge, please register here: http://ascentb2bitforum.eventbrite.com/. Food and beverages will be served. We are looking forward to an insightful night of networking and lively discussion about the new frontier of enterprise technologies.
