Managing Director
Experience: Walter has helped build and finance successful New England-based technology companies for over twenty eight years, including sixteen at Ascent. Prior to joining Ascent, Walter spent twelve years in a variety of executive positions in numerous subsidiaries of UST Corp. including President of its Venture Capital and Corporate Finance Subsidiaries. At UST he worked with investments such as Fire Control Instruments, Madison Publishing, Mathsoft, Nutcracker Snacks and Walking.
Current board seats include Akibia Group, BEZ Systems, eCopy, Nova Analytics, Terascala and Whaleback Systems.
Walter is a former member and chairman of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.
Education: BS in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University. MBA from Babson College.
