Geoffrey S. Oblak
General Partner
Experience: Geoff has sixteen years of experience investing in early stage information technology companies, including thirteen years at Ascent. Prior to joining Ascent, Geoff served as an Investment Analyst in the Boston office of Norwest Venture Partners, where he researched emerging technology markets and worked on successful investments such as Quatritek Systems (acquired by Lucent) and Nashoba Networks (acquired by Cisco). Prior to Norwest, he worked in the Audit/Business Advisory division of Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he was sponsored by the firm in an accelerated MBA program.

Geoff has served as an independent consultant to the Department of Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative (DeVenCI) since 2008.
Geoff is a CPA and holds a CFA Charter. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Education: BA in Economics from Hamilton College. MBA from Boston University. General Course at The London School of Economics & Political Science.
